AV Industry Veteran and Sustainability Champion, Raymond Kent, Joins SAVe Board of Directors

Sustainability in AV (SAVe), the first U.S.-based organization to bring stakeholders in the audiovisual (AV) field to take concerted action to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), announces the appointment of nationally recognized award-winning Senior Design Leader, Raymond Kent, ASTC, LEED AP BD+C, Principal of DLR Group, founder of the Innovative Technology Design Group, and former CEO of Sustainable Technologies Group, to join SAVe’s Board of Directors.

Kent joins SAVe with over 38 years in the AV industry – 20 years focused specifically on technology and sustainability. Kent has written extensively for national and international publications on sustainability and technology, taught major colleges and universities and at InfoComm as adjunct faculty, created training modules for U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and was involved in the creation and administration of the Sustainable Technologies Environment Program (STEP). He is the recipient of the 2012 Sustainable Technologies Award from AVIXA (formerly InfoComm International).

“I look forward to bringing my passion to continuing my long history within the intersection of sustainability and technology across the ICT industries through my contributions to SAVe and the community of technology manufacturers, consultants, end users, and integrators,” says Raymond Kent, SAVe board member.

“Ray’s experience in both sustainability and the AV industry brings invaluable knowledge to the mission of SAVe,” says SAVe Founder and CEO, Christina DeBono. “From his work with the initial Green AV Network and continued involvement in the STEP program, to serving as adjunct faculty for both AVIXA and Cuyahoga’s Community College’s Center for Creative Arts, we’re thrilled to have him join the SAVe team.”
